Practitioner Priorities (June 2024)

Supply chain & logistics leaders are building on the wisdom of the crowd

Results now available: In a short report, F&L’s network of international senior business leaders across supply chains and logistics ranked current priorities for sector-wide issues, global trade & European land.  Many in the community then met in Duisburg (June 2024) to consider resilience: multimodal and other collaborative tools and to identify factors that practitioners can influence and where that influence is enhanced with a collaborative approach.

Members have all seen the result and are now creating deliverables and follow-up actions that add value and are of interest.

Please note that F&L is not a lobby group and that it does not seek commercial gain.  F&L is an independent, not-for-profit organisation.  Participating is about mutually beneficial conversations and value-added dialogue with peers, academics and others with knowledge of the sector.

Why does it matter?  The pace of change across the business landscape is accelerating and the implications and challenge for freight logistics is tremendous. The biggest problem we have today is the lack of a clear window into others’ businesses. Created in 1994, the original aim to form an independent and accessible forum for leaders of manufacturing and transport supply to exchange perspectives in a confidential and welcoming environment – and that is needed more today than ever before.
